Dear Parents/Guardians:


The grade one's have been having a spooktacular year! We will continue working in the Jolly Phonics program, we have completed our patterns unit in math and now we will start representing numbers to 20.  In a few days your child will likely bring a baggie of numbers and number words that they will need to practice. They are to match the number to the correct number words. Please keep the baggie at home all of October. Thank you for your continued support.

I have completed my initial testing and your child will bring home a mini report on curricula items they know and need to continue to work on.

Here are a few dates and reminders of events in the next couple of weeks. Please mark your calendar with these dates.

 

 

Monday, October 1st - Dental presentation

Friday, October 5^th and Monday, October 8^th – No School for students

 

 

Monday, October 15^th –Education Week- Activities are planned for this week.

 

 

Friday, October 19^th – Boston Pizza Special Lunch-   Order forms have been sent home.

 

 

Tuesday, October 30^th- Picture Retakes

 

Wednesday, October 31st . Halloween Class Party – The students will participate in activity centers which the older students will assemble. In the afternoon we will have a few treats. If you would like to send a treat please let me know. Thank you.

 

 

Thursday, November 1st – All Saints Day Mass 1:00 PM
